I don't understand how anyone can give this place a good review. I passed by this place with my wife one afternoon and we decided to try it as we were both craving Chinese food. We should have left as soon as we walked in, as half the restaurant had the lights turned off and the chairs up, and there were no cutomers in the restaurant but we decided to just try it - we weren't expecting a gourmet meal just edible food.We ordered a chinese scallion pizza, dumplings and chicken w/ eggplant. The dumplings and scallion pizza came first - the dumplings were ok but had a ton of dough around them. We ate just the meat inside. I tried the dipping sauce that came with them and it tasted like straight up rubbing alcohol. The pizza looked like a lump of fried dough with no seasoning - it was like an inch thick. It tasted like crap - took one bite and didn't finish. Then the main course came...my wife took a bite first and spit it out immediately. I looked at her kind of funny (we aren't that picky)...she told me to try it. I took a tiny bite of a piece of chicken - it was rancid. It tasted like it was sitting out for about a week, on a countertop, and then cooked. We got up and walked out, left our food on the table, and will never go back.

It's an okay little oriental eatery near, of course, an Italian restaurant in a little strip mall on Germantown Pike in Norristown, down the street from the Plymouth Meeting mall. I've driven past them many times and stayed away because it just seemed a little divey. Pretty glad I stopped by today, though, I guess. They have one large table near the door and then around 5-6 other tables with the chairs on top (?) in a darkened alley next to the kitchen. Seemed like they were discouraging people from eating in, but I decided to do it anyway. As with Tony's Pizza, the dish I ordered was overpriced but delicious. The lunch special, Mon--Sat, 1-3pm, came with pork fried rice and either a can of soda or soup. All the lunch specials were either $5.35 or $5.95 plus tax. I took my time with my bag before I sat down, and I'm glad I did because the old lady forgot to give me duck sauce (kept behind the counter) and napkins. The most disappointing thing about the lunch was the size. The wonton soup was tiny and came with only 2 small wontons. The size of the meat dish with rice was also pretty small compared to other places. It was, however, very delicious and came with bits of what appeared to be deep-fried white rice kernels on top (see my pics)! In its favour, the lunch specials menu was very extensive, including even things like duck and four seasons (usually only on specialty menus.) The service was also polite, if, like I said, a little absent-minded. I might return to try another sampling of their menu in the future, but I'm not sure.

Good overall takeout Chinese joint. We always have them deliver. Fast and friendly. Once in a while they forget an item (ie wraps for Mu Shu ) but they are always good about bringing it after if you call them. Never had a bad meal from them. ...?
